MCPA bids farewell to "founding member emeritus" Ali Beyer whom we wish to thank for all that she has contributed to the curation and execution of the MCPA's first two exhibitions as well as her work as co-coordinator of the collective.
Ali's professional experience and skills were essential to the formation and execution of the MCPA's initial presence in the greater Twin Cities art scene. She has since relocated to Madison, WI and we wish her success and fulfilment in her projects there, and in Chicago.
She left an indelible impression on everyone who worked with her, and inspired much discussion, learning and inspiration as a result.

Ali Beyer (Artemis Namaste) attended Minneapolis College of Art & Design as a painting and printmaking student and then went on to receive an MFA from Columbia College Chicago (2008) in Interdisciplinary Arts & Media where she currently teaches in the Television Department.
An art historian and a cultural theorist as well as a working artist who exhibits in a wide variety of media, Artemis was raised Pagan and her work inherently comes from this perspective. She is a Pagan Minister, a member of Prodea Coven in Minneapolis, MN and teaches at Cherry Hill Seminary.

Sparky: His Songs Will Be Remembered

In 2014, an important figure in the contemporary American Pagan community (with many friends in the Twin Cities) passed away. Sparky T. Rabbit (Bruner Soderberg) will be remembered by many this Samhain, and I chose to do so by creating this work based on a photo by Melanie Moore. Sparky’s songs added much to contemporary Pagan culture as it emerged and his chants and songs made a significant contribution – they will live on.
