MCPA is proud to join with the Walker Community United Methodist Church, located at 3104 16th Ave S. (Minneapolis), to present an exhibition of contemporary Pagan art.
"Something Under the Sun" will be held in June; the show title honors the nearness of the Summer Solstice. The exhibition dates will be June 1-12, 2015, with a Closing Event (perhaps a Ritual!) in the Sanctuary space on June 12, from approximately 7-11 p.m.
(Stay tuned for more updates as we get nearer to this event!)
Both Walker Church and the MCPA have a strong commitment to interfaith work and community outreach, so the rebuilt Walker is a terrific venue for examples of interfaith through the arts!
Many in the Pagan and other communities are aware that the old Walker Church building was struck by lightning in 2012 and burned completely to the ground. It has since been rebuilt, bigger and more beautiful than ever, and even more committed to its mission of nurturing inclusiveness.
